Innkeeper Stories DevLog 10


Hello Everyone,  we start this week with a little Name Change Update. Now that we're moving closer to the game's main gameplay loop being completed(still a few more things I would like to implement or improve, but we're getting there) it means we are one step closer to adding our Narrative to the game, and since a lot of role-playing games are the base inspiration for "Innkeepers Stories", I would like to mention that Dungeons and Dragons is definitely a major one.

And with this in mind while creating the narrative I thought it wouldn't be considered an Inn if some of your patrons didn't share stories about their adventures with you. And what better time to reminisce about your own past adventures than to share them with an Inn full of rowdy adventurers and pretty ladies? 

Like with most of my updates so far, I will be working until I feel it's in a more stable stage before releasing another playable update, this time with the beginnings of our narrative implemented. But I will try to keep my Devlogs to at least every two weeks or so, depending on progress.

The narrative that will be implemented can (and will) change with the development process but by adding some story content and some quests next I feel that it will help the player into feeling more engaged with this universe and with the game itself. 

I mean just passing each day with nothing to talk to with the patrons is fun and all, but having someone talking to you non-stop while you're trying to do your job and get to the end of your shift will be that much more realistic ( and yes, I do speak by experience. Having worked in restaurants before certainly has helped me both love and hate some costumers).
