Innkeeper Stories DevLog 11


Hello everyone! It's that time of the year again, when the weather starts getting a bit colder, the leaves crunchier and the coffees more cinamony. Halloween is around the bend and since it's my absolute favorite season, Im having a small game update! 

There's been some gameplay updates, but nothing too drastic besides the UI changes. Last version i had so many diferent key binds for so many difernt menus that I was geting confused, so i've been experimenting a little bit with changing the ui and came up with this current version. everything is a bit more localikzed and narrative wise makes more sense. We are an Innkeeper trying to make ends meet, so we need our trusty ledger to keep track of those pesky accounts and inventory numbers.

The actual visual part of the UI is still not implemented, so so try to pretend it resembles a book, and not some Unity boxes,i still havent quite figured it out how i would like the visuals to look like, so for now, we'll keep it this way...


Updates since last version:

- Tables now can get dirty

- Sink stores some dishes before you have to wash them 

- Changed the UI so it's easier to use, just walk up to the managment desk to open it (or press TAB)

- You can now also Open and close the Inn, giving you some off time to do other task while costumers stay away

- When you unlock a new recipe you now get a little pop up notification to let you know

- Added an Inn info panel so you can see some information, like time, gold, Inn level(to be implemented later), open/closed information


For now, this is what I managed to update, and I'll be continuing work on the project. i still dont feel like it's ready for another playable build, but i will try to get one out once I finish up the UI a bit more, and add some more mechanics to it.
